Who am I?

Okay, a little about me...well, I've got three kids (pictured above), a house in the burbs & eventually a dog. I love wine, football, laughing out loud, eating pizza, shopping for shoes and watching Golden Girls reruns - sometimes in that exact order. My children are my whole world. They keep me balanced in this otherwise unbalanced world. And sometimes they knock me completely off balance which is ok too ....

In 2010 I was laid off for the first time ever. After a year of unemployed confusion, I landed a gig working virtually (from home) for a fab company called MarketingProfs. I did a lot of volunteer work while searching for full-time employment and rekindled my passion for helping others. I served as a guardian ad litem for CASA (court-appointed special advocate) helping abused & neglected youth find permanent homes. I also devoted time to working as a domestic violence advocate in a safe house for women and children seeking shelter from abuse. I still do some side work in both of these areas to bring awareness to serious and often ignored subject matter.

In addition to losing my job, I went through a divorce almost simultaneously. (I know, crazy right?!) My love of writing and witty sense of humor have led me here to share my experiences with you. I hope to use this as a healthy means of expressing myself without getting into too much trouble. Hey, it's cheaper than therapy! My love of all things marketing has also crept into my writing. You'll find my posts are a mix of personal & professional chaos. Try to keep up!

So.....welcome! I'm glad you are here and hope you'll stick around ....
